Standards
After looking over the different ELA standards for 3rd grade, based on my knowledge and background, one I found I am most prepared to teach is LAFS.3.RI.2.5. This standard is defined as "Use text features and search tools (e.g., key words, sidebars, hyperlinks) to locate information relevant to a given topic efficiently." I feel comfortable with this because I have had a history with online textbooks as well as websites that assist with course content. One that I could definitely learn more about would have to be LAFS.3.W.3.8. I am not the best at organizing sources, and having bookmarking sites or information sorters would probably be very helpful in my future teaching career.
One of the CPALMS tools from the educator toolkit that I find most interesting and helpful would have to be the curriculum coordinator. I think it is neat how it corresponds with Florida's standards and gives you ideas on what to do in class. This is essentially a lesson planner, while it may not cover everything you need, it offers a lot of helpful information. Rather than just some numbers written as a standard, it gives examples of activities you can do with students and also other outside resources you can incorporate. This basically does a lot of the hard work of lesson planning for you, which I assume can be helpful when doing lesson plans every week.
I absolutely loved making the newsletter! It got me so excited to one day actually make one for a class of my own. I learned a lot about just navigating Microsoft Word. I can definitely say, I did not know how to do as many things on there as I originally thought. However, I still struggled a little with making columns, I just could not get the document to format the proper way. I also had a little difficulty arranging the shapes and text and keeping them aligned. But overall, I really enjoyed this project, and with practice is something I look forward to doing to send home with future students of mine.

It's great to know what aspect that you should work on! The good news is that from next week, we are going to explore Diigo, a collaborative bookmarking and annotating tool.
